Our Stance
The C&MA has a rich history of sound doctrine. Historically, we have focused on the essentials of the faith, leaving room for diversity in the non-essentials.
However, many of us have noticed a drift from our historically biblical doctrine. Our forums have been populated by liberal thinking that de-emphasizes the authority of Scripture or seeks to reinterpret it through liberal lenses that reject the exegesis that the Church has consistently held for the last 2,000 years.
At times, this takes the form of NAR heresy that gives ear to modern prophecies that do not align with Scripture or meet the qualifications for NT prophecy. Other times they take the form of mysticism that welcomes catholic doctrine that is in opposition to the gospel.
Regardless of the flavors of false teaching, we see the signs of doctrinal drift, and we are organizing to respond.
